Simba Dance Troupe(SIDAT)

Simba Dance Troupe has 15 full-time dancers working,training and teaching mostly Zimbabwe traditional dances  and contemporary dance in schools and community centers in Mbare ,Harare.The company is lead by Christopher Bhamusi as the (assistant) artistic director during the absence of Simbarashe Norman Fulukia a.k.a Simba founder and artistic director who currently lives and works in Bergen ,Norway.Mr Mateu is the new appointed rehearsal director..him and Bhamusi works voluntary to keep Simba Arts alive in Zimbabwe while Simba seeks partnerships,funds ,open networks abroad.It's not easy to live as a dancer/artist in Zimbabwe because there isn't much fund to support the art's but for the love of Art more and more is happen without any funds. Simba Dance Troupe New year's resolution is to get on board two professional trained ballet and Jazz teachers from  Zimbabwe National Ballet to help enhance the dancers techniques.

Where We Want To Go

It can be difficult to maintain the finances needed to run SiMbA ARts. We have many expenses like theater costs, costumes, lighting, music, advertising, administrative support, choreography, classes, rent, etc…having just started in 2006 , we have formed this organisation from the ground up with no outside financial help,Simba Arts's  founder continues to be the only existing donor. So we are looking for that financial support, especially on a continuing basis. It is our dream to become a professional dance arts organisation, with our own space, where all the financial support comes from generous people like you who share our vision in keeping SiMbA ARts Alive and thriving.

We are very interested in forming partnerships with local businesses and community leaders.  If you or your organization supports the arts, children's programs, or you have a great idea, let us know! We would love to talk to you.

We are asking for help of 12 600 Kroner per month to cover some of our costs

  • 3000 kroner you can help with month breakfast lunch,basic commodities and pocket money for 15 dancers
Dancers works voluntary on a daily bases and since they don't have a monthly salary it is not easy to  spend  full days rehearsing from 10-7pm  with a empty stomach... so we make breakfast and Lunch for members and they also each receives three of basic commodities i.e. Maize meal,cooking oil,a bar washing soap plus a small amount of pocket money to keep them from the streets and to help them help their families...Dancing is what they do!
  • 1200 Kroner  you can help with office stationary
  • 2400 kroner you can help the administrative support
  • 6000 Kroner you can help pay salaries of teachers
